True Happiness

About this prayer

Heavenly Father, As the morning breaks and joy comes with the dawn, I come before You seeking the happiness that only You can give. Your Word promises that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5), and I claim that promise today. Lord, I recognize that true happiness is not found in my circumstances, my possessions, or even my achievements. Instead, it flows from Your presence. As the Psalmist declares, “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:11). Draw me closer to You today, for in You alone I find complete satisfaction. Teach me to “rejoice always” as Paul instructs in Philippians 4:4, not because everything is perfect, but because You are sovereign and good. Help me to trust that You are working all things together for my good, even when I cannot see it or feel it. Fill me with the joy that is the fruit of Your Spirit—the kind of joy that doesn’t depend on what’s happening around me, but on what You’re doing within me (Galatians 5:22).
