This Prayer Closes Every Open Door

About this prayer

Heavenly Father, We come before You this morning with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of a brand new day. Lord, You didn’t have to wake us up this morning, but in Your mercy and Your grace, You did. And we don’t take that lightly. Every breath we take is a reminder of Your faithfulness, and so before we do anything else — before we check our phones, before we face our schedules, before we step into the demands of this day — we stop and we give You the honor and the glory that You deserve. Father, we surrender this morning to You. We surrender our plans, our agenda, and our to-do lists. We ask that You order our steps today. Guide our feet to the right places, our hands to the right work, and our mouths to speak only what is pleasing in Your sight. Lord, don’t let us move through this day in our own strength — because we have tried that, and it is never enough. Let us move in Your strength, in Your wisdom, and in Your peace. We pray against every assignment of the enemy that has been set up against us today. Every distraction, every discouragement, every open door for fear and anxiety — we close it right now in the name of Jesus. You have not given us a spirit of fear…
