Dear Heavenly Father, As this evening comes and the body grows still, I bring before You every senior who lays their head down tonight carrying questions they cannot answer, aches they cannot explain, and a faith that sometimes flickers in the dark. Lord, remind them tonight — they are in the best of company. Moses was not a young man when doubt gripped his heart. He stood before that burning bush, eighty years old, and said, “Who am I, Lord? I cannot speak. I am not enough.” (Exodus 3:11; 4:10). Yet You used every one of his years to lead Your people. Not despite his age — because of it. Remind them of old Elijah, tired to his very bones, sitting under that tree and whispering, “Lord, I have had enough.” (1 Kings 19:4). You did not scold him. You sent an angel with warm bread and water and said simply, “The journey is too great for you — eat and rest.” That tenderness, Lord — let every weary senior feel it tonight. And remind them of Anna, the 84-year-old widow who never left the temple — who fasted, prayed, and held on through decades of waiting. She did not miss her moment.
