🌙 Resting in God’s Word Tonight 🌙

About this prayer

Faithful Father, As I prepare to lay down and sleep, I come to You with a grateful heart. Your Word says, “In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8). Tonight, I claim this promise. I choose to rest in peace because You are my protector and my refuge. Lord, You are my Shepherd, and I lack nothing (Psalm 23:1). As I close my eyes, I picture You making me lie down in green pastures and leading me beside quiet waters. You refresh my soul, Lord, and I rest in the comfort of Your presence. I will not fear the terror of night (Psalm 91:5), for You have promised that whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. I dwell under the shadow of Your wings tonight, covered by Your faithfulness. Father, Your Word assures me that “He will not let your foot slip—He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:3-4). What comfort this brings! While I rest, You remain vigilant. You never grow weary, You never close Your eyes. I am safe in Your constant care.…
