Overcoming Emotional Struggles (Resilience)
Heavenly Father, I come to You weary and burdened, my heart heavy with worry and doubt. But Your word promises that I can cast all my anxiety on You, because You care for me (1 Peter 5:7).
About this prayer
Heavenly Father, I come to You weary and burdened, my heart heavy with worry and doubt. But Your word promises that I can cast all my anxiety on You, because You care for me (1 Peter 5:7). Lord, quiet my anxious mind. Help me remember that You tell me, “Do not be anxious about anything,” but instead to bring everything to You in prayer (Philippians 4:6-7). Replace my fear with Your peace—the peace that surpasses all understanding. When doubt clouds my faith, I cry out with the father in Scripture: “I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24). Teach me to trust You with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). You are my rock and my fortress. In moments of temptation, remind me that You always provide a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13). Give me strength to resist, and help me hide Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You (Psalm 119:11). Heal my wounded heart of any bitterness or unforgiveness. Help me be kind and compassionate, forgiving others just as You have forgiven me (Ephesians 4:32). Jesus, You called to all who are weary: “Come to me, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). I come now, laying my burdens at Your feet. Renew my strength.…
