About this prayer

Most High God, As the sun rises and breaks through the darkness, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and praise. “This is the day the LORD has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it!” (Psalm 118:24). Thank You for the gift of this new morning, for the breath in my lungs, and for another opportunity to walk with You. Father, Your Word declares that “the steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!” (Lamentations 3:22-23). I stand in awe of this truth. No matter what happened yesterday—no matter my failures, my fears, or my doubts—You greet me this morning with fresh mercy. Your compassions never fail. Your love never runs out. Lord, I choose to enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise (Psalm 100:4). I give thanks to You, for You are good, and Your love endures forever! You have been so faithful to me. Even when I couldn’t see it, You were working. Even when I felt alone, You were there. Even in my darkest nights, You were preparing this morning’s light.
