About this prayer

As evening shadows lengthen and the day’s work draws to a close, my heart overflows with thanksgiving. Not because everything went perfectly, but because You remained perfect through it all. Thank You for the gift of sight—for colors I witnessed today, faces I recognized, beauty I often take for granted. Thank You for sound—for laughter that lifted my spirit, music that stirred my soul, voices of those I love. Thank You for the ordinary miracles I so easily overlook: the rhythm of my heartbeat, food that nourished me, the roof sheltering me now. Tonight, Lord, I want to pray beyond my own four walls. My heart turns toward those who need You desperately: Comfort those who are grieving tonight—those facing their first evening without someone they love. Wrap them in Your tender mercies. Be close to the brokenhearted. Heal those lying in hospital beds as darkness falls—battling sickness, facing surgery, enduring pain. Let Your healing presence fill every room where suffering dwells. Provide for families who don’t know how they’ll make it through another week. Open doors of opportunity. Send unexpected provision. Show them that You are Jehovah Jireh—the God who sees and provides.…
