A Prayer for Humble Hearts and Merciful Eyes Heavenly Father, As this day draws to a close, I come before You with a heart that needs cleansing. You remind us in Your Word, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (Matthew 7:1-2). Lord, forgive me for the moments today when I looked upon others with eyes of criticism rather than compassion. When I saw someone’s choices and whispered judgment in my heart, when I measured another’s faith by my own understanding, when I forgot that You alone see the whole story. Your Word teaches us, “You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat” (Romans 14:10). Help me remember that the judgment seat belongs to You alone, not to me. Father, transform my heart tonight: When I see someone struggling with addiction, let me see not weakness but a soul in need of Your healing touch.
