Heavenly Father, Lord of all creation,

About this prayer

As this day draws to a close and darkness settles around me, I come before You with a grateful heart. Thank You for sustaining me through every moment of this day—for Your mercies that are new each morning and Your faithfulness that endures through every evening. Like the psalmist who declared, “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety,” I now surrender this day into Your hands. I release every worry, every burden, every unfinished task into Your care, trusting that You hold tomorrow as surely as You held today. Forgive me, Lord, for the ways I have fallen short—for words spoken in haste, for patience worn thin, for moments when I failed to reflect Your love. Wash me clean in Your mercy, that I might rest with a peaceful conscience and wake to a fresh start. I pray for Your protection over my household tonight. Guard us as the apple of Your eye; hide us under the shadow of Your wings. Let Your angels encamp around us, and may Your presence fill every corner of our dwelling place. For those I love who are far from me tonight, watch over them. Comfort the lonely, heal the sick, provide for the needy, and draw near to those who are walking…
