About this prayer

I open my eyes to a new day that You have made, and I choose to rejoice and be glad in it. Thank You for the gift of breath in my lungs, for life renewed, and for the promise that Your mercies are fresh with every sunrise. As the morning light breaks through the darkness, let Your light break through every shadow in my heart. Awaken not just my body, but my spirit—that I might walk today fully alive to Your presence and attentive to Your voice. Lord, I consecrate this day to You before I take a single step. Order my footsteps according to Your Word. Give me wisdom to know what to do, courage to do what is right, and grace to handle what I cannot control. Let everything I put my hand to today prosper for Your glory and the good of others. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit. Where I am weak, be my strength. Where I am uncertain, be my guide. Where I am afraid, be my courage. Let the mind of Christ be my mind, that I might think thoughts worthy of Your kingdom. Guard my mouth today, O Lord. Set a watch over my lips that I might speak words that build up and never tear down—words seasoned with grace, truth spoken in love, and encouragement freely given. Help me see every person I…
