Finding Purpose When Life Feels Hopeless

About this prayer

Gracious and loving God, As we wake to this new day, we come before You with grateful hearts. Thank You for the gift of life, for the breath in our lungs, and for the opportunity to begin again. We thank You for Your faithfulness that is new every morning, for Your mercies that never fail, and for the love that surrounds us even when we cannot see it. Lord, fill us today with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Where there is anxiety, bring calm. Where there is doubt, bring faith. Where there is darkness, be our light. Give us strength for the challenges we’ll face, wisdom for the decisions we must make, and compassion for every person we encounter. Help us to see others through Your eyes—with kindness, patience, and love. May we not be consumed by yesterday’s regrets or tomorrow’s worries, but may we be fully present in this moment, knowing that You are with us. Use our hands to serve, our words to encourage, our lives to reflect Your goodness. Help us to be a blessing to someone today, even in small ways. As we step into this day, may we walk with courage, knowing that You go before us, beside us, and behind us. We are never alone.
