About this prayer

Faithful Shepherd, Eternal Rock, and Source of All Light, We come before You, not because we are worthy, but because You are merciful. Your Word declares that Your compassions never fail us; they are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Thank You for this fresh dawn, for breath in our lungs, and for the steadfast love that holds us fast, even when we falter. Lord, we confess our weakness. Like the Psalmist, we cry, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2). You are our ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). When our strength is small and the path is steep, remind us that Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). May we, therefore, boast gladly in our frailties, so that Christ’s power may rest upon us. Guide our steps, O God. Let Your Word be a lamp for our feet and a light on our path (Psalm 119:105). When decisions loom large and the way is unclear, grant us the wisdom that comes from above (James 3:17). Silence the noise of doubt and fear, and help us to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). May our…
